As I continue to do more research on who will do the work on my vintage Taylor that was made when they were still making guitars in their garage which has a broken headstock thanks to a
real bucking bronco. I continue to be impressed with your talents to fix broken hearts.

What would make and good taylor guitar start cracking , I had this guitar about 10 years and got it new and still look like new but out of the blue it starting to crack , it is under warranted and the repair shop said that I had to paid for having it fix , this guitar has not be in the cold or arould heart to cause it to crack . It is 1998 moden , and I wondering is all the taylor guitar will break up when they get around ten years of more on them , I nothing the Narty guitar does not do this or guitar that do not cost as must as my guitar . My guitar cost around 5200.00 and taylor will not repair it . why is that , when it has a life time warrited on it . again what would make and guitar to crack , I have neecr had one that would do just an thing , I do not believe I will neevr again pay nd taylor guitar cause it fall apart after and few years .

    Elvis,
Most always, manufacturers will not cover cracks running in grain line. They will most often cover glue joint separations, as that is considered a labor defect. The guitar has to have dried out in some way to make that crack appear. Do you have a humidifier for the guitar and do you store it in your case during the winter months? We do a lot of top cracks this time of year from the dry weather. It is not unusual for a manufacturer to deny claims on a cracked top because, even if you didn’t dry your guitar out, most everyone else with a top crack did, and makers have to draw the line somewhere. A top crack should run you around $135-200 depending on the size and it should always be touched up with proper finish.
